S. S. Giri is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from the UDCT, Mumbai, India, and an MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, India. He has over 21 years of IT management and delivery experience working closely with business leaders. He is ITIL basic foundation and Six Sigma Black belt certified and has exposure to implementing ISO and CMMI processes. He is the General Manager and Associate Vice President for Nihilent’s Offshore Development Center (ODC) responsible for Deliveries.
Giri has vast experience in the process, manufacturing, FMCG, finance, equity market, shipping and logistics, and retail industry domains. He has held key positions such as Manager IT, VP IT, Head IT, CIO and Global Development Center Manager. He has extensive experience in setting up IT organization, defining IT strategy and roadmap, aligning IT to business, managing IT Vendor, Infrastructure management and delivering IT solutions as per business objectives.
Before joining Nihilent, he worked for Murjani Group in India as CIO. During his stint with P&O Nedlloyd (now Maersk), he was IT Regional Account Manager as part of global IT management team. As Global Center Manager, he set up the Global Development Center for P&O to service the Application development needs of the worldwide organization. Giri also spent five years in various roles at the consumer division of Johnson & Johnson Ltd (India).
