Associate Vice President – African Operations |
A Computer Science student, Nitin is an Associate Vice President responsible for Nihilent’s African operations excluding South Africa. He has the task of driving the company’s strategic ventures into several African countries, and
to negotiate with partners and clients alike.
Nitin has essayed several key roles at Nihilent such as consulting, delivery, fulfilment and sales including a stint at the company’s US operations. He has headed Products supporting Nihilent's Enterprise Transformation Practice. He also consults at a strategic level on issues such as organizational alignment, performance management, business processes apart from business development and product "Go to Market" planning and execution. In addition to consulting and coordinating the pre-sales and sales teams, he has executed a number of consulting assignments for companies such as SAB Miller and Nedbank, where he was an advisor on supply chain and African strategies. He has a keen interest in vertical specific business processes with focus on value chain of process as well as discrete manufacturing along with software and services delivery engineering.
Beginning his career in the technology industry in the 1990s, he has worked
in most aspects of the systems development and consulting businesses and was involved in the management and execution of several large projects.
Prior to joining Nihilent, as an entrepreneur, he headed a software solutions company that built and delivered ERP and BI solutions for the manufacturing SME/ SMB.
Nitin has assisted in paper presentations representing India (Indian Economics, environment and industry) at FAO (A United Nations Body) and was a visiting faculty/ project examiner/ project guide at various management institutes and engineering colleges. He was the first honorary secretary of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Pune.
