Oracle Apps DBA
Experience: 3 – 5 years
Roles and Responsibilities :Current requirement Location: Dubai, Period – 3 – 6 months, Client: ECS ME, Dubai.
- Ensure availability and performance of the database.
- Ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the database gives maximum availability and optimum performance.
- Monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
- Problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
- Database maintenance and upgrade.
- Backup and restore activities using oracle RMAN or any other backup/restore solution.
- Upload data to Oracle database through SQL loader.
- Install and configure and maintain Oracle RAC, data warehousing and Data guard.
- Administrate Oracle Applications using Apps Admin tools.
- Oracle Applications installation, upgrade, cloning and migration.
- Configuring OS parameters (Unix, Linux and Windows environment)
- Install Apps patches and family packs, configure pasta and install/configure printers.
Skills & Requirement:
- Knowledge and experience with multi-node and multi-tier applications environments, load-balancing of Oracle eBusiness suite applications.
- Oracle SSO, OID and 10gAS is a plus.
- Experience with archiving, data warehousing, data purging, query optimization and data masking.
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) installing and upgrading Oracle 9i/10g/11g
- Experience with importing and exporting Oracle schemas.
- Minimum 2 years experience with Sun Solaris and AIX operating systems.
- Minimum 2 years experience installing Oracle applications and tools for 11i and R12 versions.
- Knowledge/experience in implementing best practices for Oracle RDBMS (Relational Data Base Management System) logging and backup/recovery methods, performance tuning and administration.
- Experience in Oracle Unix monitoring and in implementing alerts and exception reporting.
- Practical knowledge of concurrent processing, tracing and debugging, defining concurrent managers and concurrent programs.
- Knowledge of Oracle Forms, Reports and Oracle Application server.
- Experience with tools and utilities such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Navigator, TOAD, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle ADI.
